About Spirit of the Moselle
Spirit of the Moselle is now sailing in her inaugural season!
Launched this summer, our brand-new boutique river ship Spirit of the Moselle is currently wowing guests in her inaugural season of all-inclusive river cruises.
Designed with you in mind, Spirit of the Moselle offers the same high standards as her boutique sister ships, Spirit of the Rhine and Spirit of the Danube, all reserved exclusively for Saga guests.
Exclusively for you
We have combined our experience of river cruise ship construction with our unique understanding of our guests and their needs to design Spirit of the Moselle and are confident that you will love the new edition to our fleet as much as we do.
Contemporary interior design
We have taken inspiration from the work of English artist JMW Turner and his painting Beilstein and Burg Metternich for the ship’s colour palette of green, blue and pink. Inspiration was also drawn from the poem Mosella by the Roman poet Magnus Ausonius, which is a celebration of the verdancy of the river and describes, ‘the riverbanks; hills, green with vines, beneath them, flowing noiselessly. The fair Moselle.’
Accommodation
Staterooms
Modern cabins with a touch of opulence
The colour scheme inspired by Turner’s artwork continues in the elegant cabins. On the Upper and Middle decks over 75% of Spirit of the Moselle’s cabins have French balconies with floor-to-ceiling windows providing personal, private views of every destination. Cabins on the Lower deck are smaller and feature a small picture window. All cabins are equipped with a flat-screen television, a Bluetooth speaker with USB, tea and coffee-making facilities, a small fridge, hairdryer, telephone, safe, seating area bathrobes and slippers.
Dining & Cuisine
Main Dining
All-inclusive dining with a panoramic view
Spirit of the Moselle has two restaurants; the Panorama is the main restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the speciality Beilstein Restaurant is open for a light lunch or dinner reservation. Alfresco barbecue dining will be available on the outside terrace when the weather is fine.
Complimentary afternoon tea will be served daily, and tea, coffee and biscuits will be available whenever you choose from the self-service stations.
